  I would call Amazon's official Customer Service and tell them the kind of call you got. That way, if someone bought a laptop for $1,400 in your name they can confirm that. Then they will offer to connect you to Amazon's fraud department. If they tell you it's a scam and no one from Amazon called you - I hope you haven't provided any financial information: credit cards, bank account. The next time you get a call about that - just hang-up.

  If somebody calls you and says they're from Amazon and that you have a bill for something you bought from them, ordered from *** you know , for a fact that you didn't do that. You call amazon and tell them you would like to speak to an official in the fraud department\nAnd they will handle it for you.
