I found an advertisement for an Xbox Series S on OLX. I contacted the seller, who confirmed that the product was available and accepted my offer of ₹11,550. The seller then asked me to continue the conversation on WhatsApp and shared his mobile number. The seller claimed that payment verification was required and instructed me to add money to my MobiKwik wallet through Pocket UPI. He further instructed me to share screenshots of the wallet balance as proof. Trusting the seller, I added money to my MobiKwik wallet. However, after adding money, multiple transactions were automatically debited from my wallet without my consent. The funds were transferred to Swiggy/MobiKwik transactions. The seller kept changing the agreed price and demanded additional payments, claiming that the console would only be shipped after full payment. I have suffered financial loss due to this fraudulent activity. The seller appears to have intentionally misled me into loading money into my wallet, which was then debited without my authorization.
