scam via MoMo SMS

It has become a recurring phenomenon in Benin: **MoMo SMS scams**. Individuals send you an SMS claiming that a money transfer was mistakenly made to you or that one of your relatives asked them to give you money. Once they have caught your attention, they send you another SMS specifying an amount and then explain that they made an error during the transfer and ask you to **send the money back**. ⚠️ *Warning! This is usually a scam.* Do not rely solely on received SMS messages and never transfer money under pressure or based on a simple statement. Always check your balance and transaction history directly in your MoMo service before doing anything.
