ARAMEX GHANA SCAM

"Aramex Ghana" SCAM ALERT!!! I needed to clear a parcel from ARAMEX and wanted to know the duty charges before driving from my office to their location, so I could prepare enough money. A colleague searched online and found a number claiming to be ARAMEX customer service and shared it with me. I contacted the number on WhatsApp and was taken through what appeared to be a normal parcel clearance process. I was asked to make payments for duty, processing, and storage fees. In total, I sent GHS 1,984. After making the payments, I realized I had been scammed. The person was impersonating ARAMEX to defraud unsuspecting customers. Please be very careful when searching for customer service numbers online. Always verify numbers through official company channels and NEVER make payments to personal Mobile Money numbers for courier or customs clearance services.
