⚠️ Awareness Regarding Possible Jan Seva Scam

I have been receiving messages on WhatsApp regarding “Jan Seva,” and these messages seem suspicious to me. I am not 100% sure whether this is a scam, but there are several things that raise serious concerns. One of my biggest questions is: Why would any Indian government authority or an authorised government-related service contact people through a US-based phone number? They are offering people an ID and also claiming that individuals can become “authorised persons.” What makes it even more suspicious is that an ID supposedly worth ₹5,000 is being offered for just ₹199 as a special discount. ₹199 may seem like a very small amount, which could encourage people to pay without thinking too much about the risk. But if even 10, 100, or thousands of people make such payments, the total amount collected can become significant. I am not claiming that this is definitely a scam because I do not have enough evidence to confirm that. However, based on the way these messages are being sent and the offers being made, it appears suspicious to me. I would advise everyone to stay alert. Before making any payment or sharing personal information, please verify the organisation through official government sources and confirm whether the person contacting you is genuinely authorised. Stay alert, verify first, and don’t make payments just because the amount seems small.
