Bank kyc scam 🚽
My granddad—who unironically insists everyone in the house address him as "King T'Challae, Ruler of Wakandu"—received an SMS stating his monthly pension account was about to be locked forever due to outdated KYC records. Refusing to let his "royal treasury" be frozen, Granddad personally took the call from a scammer posing as a senior bank official. The scammer sent over an app file named Wakandau_Royal_KYC_Update.apk via WhatsApp, instructing him to install it to verify his royal identity. Granddad tapped "Install," thinking he was securing his kingdom's funds, but the malware secretly intercepted his banking OTPs and let the scammer siphon ₹600,000 straight out of his lifetime savings before he could even shout "Wakandu Forever!"

My condolences to your granddad and his royal treasury. It takes a truly evil villain to cross the Ruler of Wakanda and run off with ₹600,000 of his hard-earned pension.
