I blame MTN for some of these things, how is it that before I withdraw money I have to allow cash out before a confirmation message will come but some one some where can just initiate a cash out confirmation without me allowing cash out, and why always MTN, most of these fraud cases it is always MTN customers that fall victims why, I think MTN should do better

So sorry to hear this. Whenever you receive an OTP directed to your MoMo account of which you didn't request for, it means someone is trying to withdraw your money through the MTN app. A way to cancel it is that as soon as you receive it, deliberately enter a wrong password when checking your MoMo balance or wait for a few hours before you check.

immediately you receive the otp and you are been asked to check balance, don't forget to dial in wrong code first before your real code. cuz in doing so you have disconnected all tracking devices from you momo account.

i never check my balance. I look at my last transaction message to check my balance. be careful out there. what hurts is that these scammers steal from those who are struggling to survive. very heartless and wicked individuals.
