Beware of putting anything for sale on Facebook.

My wife put a baby pack and play on Facebook and got scammed out of $900. The person claimed to have a Business Venmo account and in order for my wife to get the payment she would have to call Venmo, with a number they provided, to change her account to a business account to complete the transfer. Needless to say she did not ask me about it and trusted this person because she gave her some sad story about she needed the item. She called and to make a long story short, 4 hours later she realized what was going on. If you sell anything on Facebook, have the person pay you cash up front. Never have them pay by any type of cash app.

Sorry to say, but this is a common Venmo scam across Marketplace, Craigslist, and any other online sales platform. Just Google "Venmo scams". It had nothing to do with advertising on Facebook other then falling for the scam.
