Bogus jail time

Called on the land line at the farm. First it was a police officer who dropped off a letter which states that I need to appear in court due to a labour dispute. A previous employee has brought a case against me. To keep the whole thing out of court I would have to settle the matter directly through a mister Cloete from Ministry of Labour. Very friendly and very well versed. He then forwarded me to social security commission to make sure nothing was outstanding which of course there was. After everything was settled I was forwarded to a Deputy Commissioner van Rhyn who told me that I would be picked up by the police and placed into custody until my court date. I could stay out of jail if I paid bail. They use a lot of scare tactics focusing on you when you are alone. Unfortunately I had not heard of this scam before.
