Call from fake provider about SIM swap, asking for code

Got a call from my cell phone service provider claiming someone was illegally trying to use my number to do a sim swap and get data, all I need to do is give the code from a pop up message for them to block everything. Knowing my service provider call centers, there is usually a lot of background noise, this call was very quiet and the fact that he ws very insistant that I have to give the code, which is so typical of fraud and scammers.
