  cellular companies, such as at&t, T-mobile, sell lists of phone numbers to businesses, and people, your network provider most likely sold one with your number on it.

  This was investigated and then it was discovered that the telephone companies, not content with scamming you with misleading advertising, also SELL YOUR DATA to criminals. The world we live in is very CORRUPT, companies are gradually losing their ethics.
