Data entry scam

🚨 PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS NEW DATA-ENTRY SCAM! 🚨 I recently came across a post on Threads offering a part-time data-entry job. I showed interest, and they asked me to connect with them on Telegram. They then sent me 20 pages to retype and convert into a PDF within 48 hours, claiming that I would be paid $2,480 for the work. I asked for documentation and security process however they denied that there is no need. I completed the assignment and shared the PDF as instructed. After that, they asked me to contact their so-called “Payment Desk” to receive my payment. And this is where the scam became obvious. 👇 The “Payment Desk” told me that I needed to provide a Freelancer ID Card, or purchase one from them for $85, claiming that the amount would be refunded along with my payment. ⚠️ Please understand: legitimate employers do NOT ask you to pay money upfront to release your salary/payment. Fortunately, I took screenshots of the conversations, instructions, assignment and payment requests before proceeding further. I’m sharing this so that others don't fall for the same trap. Please be careful with work-from-home/data-entry offers, especially those coming through Telegram or asking for upfront payments, registration fees, ID fees, security deposits or “refundable” charges. 🚨 If they ask you to pay money before paying you — STOP. It’s a major scam warning sign. Please share this and help others stay safe. 🙏
