Is this an MCard scam?

They called me saying they were from Mastercard, about an attempt to withdraw 59,000 colones from BAC. They asked if it was me, and when I said no, they transferred me to a woman who asked if I had debit or credit. I hung up... It sounded like a scam because of the redirection and because they didn't even know what card I had, but they asked because the number appeared as Mastercard.
