  It's a scam, they pretend to be from the institution and even talk to you as if they were, but they ask for your card information. The worst part is that they already have your information, but it's all part of the robbery. When they call you back, they ask for codes supposedly to do some verification, and they end up stealing from you and making purchases that you didn't make. They are thieves and extortionists. Many have already fallen for this trick; they involve you in such a way that you believe it's the institution. In such a case, call your bank and they will tell you themselves that they do not call to ask for anything. If you need any procedure, look for official phone numbers on official websites.
