Fake Bond and Detention officers

They look up on public records when someone gets arrested and they gather the information and then call the relatives. They will act like they are with the local law enforcement agency and calling to help you bail out someone you might know. No jail or police agency will call you to help get someone out of jail for any reason. You will have to go and do that personally. No bondsman will do a bond over the phone or accept any money over the phone. You will have to sign legal documents stating you are held responsible for the person to show up to court on their court date. This will happen first in person to sign before any money is even taken. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. As soon as you tell them to stop scamming people their demeanor will dramatically change. I've traced some that were doing this from a prison cell using a cell phone that was snuck in. Beware!!!! No one will call you to bail that person you know out of jail, that's your responsibility to go do in person ONLY.
