fake courier call

I had recently got a call from a person mentioning bule Dart courier, he said you have a courier and our delivery man is not able to reach you, let me merge the call so that you can assist him reaching your location. I did placed some order few days back but I was suspicious about call merge so I asked him to drop me text with delivery guy phone numbe. he agreed and sent me text : phone number starting with * and ending with # , my suspicion was correct,it's a setup to forward all my calls to that number for fraudlant payment. please be aware of such people and most interesting part was he was fluent English speaker. please trust your gut doing anything these days.
