Fake Union Bank KYC Message Sending Malicious APK

I received suspicious WhatsApp activity involving two phone numbers. 1. [PHONE] — Call forwarding was being activated/requested to this number. I received Jio messages related to activation and deactivation of call forwarding. I did not authorize any call forwarding to this number and cancelled the forwarding. 2. [PHONE] — This number contacted me on WhatsApp claiming to be Union Bank of India. The sender falsely claimed that my bank account was blocked due to Aadhaar KYC and instructed me to download and install an APK named “UNION BANK (2).apk”. This appears to be a phishing/banking malware scam. I did not share any OTP, banking credentials or WhatsApp verification code, and I did not install the APK. I blocked the suspicious contacts and am reporting these numbers for investigation and to protect other users.
