Caller ID failureFalha da identificação de chamadas
Call blocking apps are very efficient. Unfortunately, today, carriers and telemarketing prevent us from answering calls because they are almost always offers or scams. Our phones keep ringing all day, and then a problem arises. What about when we are really expecting a call? Recently, I had to disable the blocking of numbers that are not in my contacts. I answered all the calls, and for those I didn't answer, I called back. That's when I encountered something that had happened to people close to me but was the first time for me. When telemarketers discovered that we no longer answered calls from area code 11, they started using our area code to call us. In my case, today telemarketers call me, and the numbers are from area code 47. In the callbacks I had to make, two did not answer, and the other two who answered said they hadn't made any calls that day. I researched online, and this is called "spoofing." Basically, they use software that changes the number of the caller. So you might also receive a WhatsApp message or a "callback" from someone else saying you called them. This happens because some companies are changing their numbers and using real people's numbers, without spam reports, to make it easier for people to answer. Has this been happening to you? I believe that if Brazilian laws and carriers don't stop spoofing, soon call blocking will become impossible, and we will have to use only WhatsApp for calls and messages.

Yes. It is very frequent. When this happens, I copy the number and check it in my bank app in the Pix area. It shows that the number does not exist, then I block the number and mark it as a scam. When the number comes from the operator SURF TELECOM, it is 100% a scam.

It happened to me, they used the number of the bank branch where I have an account. But I already knew about this type of scam and I hung up on the scammer.
