🚨 Freshers, I Need Your Advice — Is This Normal for an Unpaid ?

I’m a fresher, and honestly, I’m a little confused and nervous about what I should do. I was offered an unpaid internship, and during the joining process, I was asked to submit several documents, including: • Academic & professional certificates • Relieving/experience letter, if previously employed • Recent passport-size photograph • PAN card copy • Any additional documents requested by HR I understand that companies may need certain documents for onboarding, but as a fresher, I’m not sure which documents are genuinely necessary and when it is safe to share them. The PAN card request especially made me stop and think because it contains sensitive personal information. I don’t want to lose a valuable opportunity just because I’m inexperienced, but at the same time, I don’t want my lack of experience to put my personal information at risk. So I’m reaching out to people who have been through internships or corporate onboarding: 👉 Is this a normal document requirement for an unpaid internship? 👉 Should a fresher submit a PAN copy at this stage? 👉 What should I verify before sharing these documents? I’d genuinely appreciate your advice. ❤️ Sometimes freshers don't know what is “normal” and what isn't. If you've faced something similar, please share your experience—it might help someone else make a safer decision too. #Freshers #Internship #CareerAdvice #InternshipAdvice #JobSearch #CareerStart #CorporateLife #Students #WorkplaceAdvice
