Haryana City Gas (HCG) Scam

You will recieve a WhatsApp message from one Ashutosh Singh claiming to be from Haryana City Gas (HCG). It would read as Notice, which would claim that since the Gas Meter Reading was not taken, the line would get disconnected. It would ask you to call him. While on call, he would advice that the teaching can be automatically taken online & he can help you with the process. He would then send an APK file to be installed on your mobile phone. This, if done, would install a malware & provide him all sensitive information / data on your phone. I escaped, sove i told him the trading was taken & i can provide him the details and he disconnected. Officially HCG claims they have complained to Cyber Crime / Police, but this person had not been apprehended as yet. BEWARE - DO NOT CALL/ENGAGE WITH HIM. DO NOT INSTALL THE APK FILE. BLOCK THE NUMBERS & DELETE THE WHATSAPP MESSAGES.
