  its not just giving people. Scammers also set up data funnels such as ads or websites that can attract people. When you sign up they request simple details like full name, email and number and that's it. Sometimes, they are even legitimate platforms that also serve as data funnels for scammers.

  You don't need to give your numbers out. Don't you join different what's app groups? They can just forge 11 digits and it might be someone's number. It's very simple, you just have to be careful.
