it's a scam. DO NOT click any links and DO NOT call any numbers. this is a classic scam method where the scammer tells you of a fake charge to your PayPal account (A$489), which is designed to make you Panic and call the number without thinking it through. plus, based on the blur, it looks like it was sent by a random number. PayPal sends messages through official company channels, NEVER through random phone numbers, national or international.

I should have added this before, this MAY be a legitimate message but from what you've posted it's difficult to say for sure, my advice is definitely don't reply to that message directly, but definitely DO contact PayPal via a known legitimate contact path, eg their official website or email or contacting them directly by phone, if it is legitimate then they will confirm it so all good, if it's not? same thing, but if it's legitimate but you don't do ANYTHING about it? thats not going to help you either, so definitely keep an eye on it :)

did you make that purchase? do not click any links in a possible scam email, instead go to PayPal or use the PayPal app. Do not use the numbers provided on the email. they have quite good customer service you can call via their offical website or app.
