Jeff Bezos impersonator on Messenger asking for $2,000 investment
This is a scam. Do not send any money or engage further. No one from Jeff Bezos (or any real “manager” of his) is texting random people on Messenger asking them to invest $2,000. These messages are classic romance/investment/crypto advance-fee scams. The scammer is trying to get you to send money (or crypto, gift cards, etc.) under the false promise of big returns or special access. What you should do right now Stop replying. Do not answer, ask questions, or send any personal/financial information. Do not send $2,000 (or any amount) to anyone who contacted you this way. Block the person and report the conversation to Facebook/Messenger as a scam. If you’ve already shared any personal details (phone number, email, photos, bank info, etc.), monitor your accounts and consider changing passwords. These scams are extremely common. Real high-profile people do not cold-message strangers on social media asking for investment money. If you want, you can share more of the conversation (or what the “manager” said next) and I can help you spot the typical next steps the scammer will try. Stay safe.
