i received a whatsapp message from [PHONE] about gas bill update otherwise supply will be stopped by 10:30pm when I called the person he sent me .apk file to download fortunately I did not click on the file and disconnected the call. Then I checked in Google saw many scams are happening with mumbai citizens please be careful

I too received call in the evening,, panicked me. i immediately called our society secretary and verified the issue. me too received whatsapp message. just blocked it

anyone who sends you an .apk file is scammer so stay away from those. also turn off automatic downloads of images and videos in WhatsApp.

omg! i got a call too this morning regarding the same issue!! The man was saying me to share the OTP that came into my number.
