I received a phone call from someone who mentioned the name of a friend of mine. He asked if I knew the person. When I confirmed that I did, he told me that this friend had borrowed money from him but wasn't answering his calls; he asked me to put the friend on a conference call and speak to him about it. I refused, suggesting that he call the friend directly, but he wouldn't listen and started pressuring me. I stood my ground, saying I couldn't do that and insisting he call the friend himself. When he persisted, I stopped answering his calls—he called seven or eight times, but I didn't pick up. Later, I called my friend from a different mobile number; he explained that his phone had been hacked and that the person calling me was likely the hacker. He advised me not to speak to that caller either.
