Mukuru Ecam
I was selling on Facebook. Someone contacted me showing interest. He asked if he could send money via Mukuru to which I agreed. An Indrive rider was picking up. So the ride came and the message came confirming transfer of $320. Being a bit late on Saturday, I decide I'll get the money on Monday. Monday came, and I was told the code was invalid (fake) although it came through the Mukuru platform. Don't believe any message from Mukuru without verification first. Better ask for cash transactions only.

they did it to me last week through World remit message and they started calling me to send $300usd to someone stuck in karoi out of the fake $4000usd they claim to send lucky I called my friend to do the ecocash and the first thing he asked check your time it's 7pm on a Saturday we do transactions on Monday 8am to Saturday 12pm so , I told the scammer will send on Monday hahaha he became evasive I told him to reverse you money I no longer want the business 😜

I think this another big challenge we are just facing , cause I also faced the same problem the same scenario where I had just picked up an indriver ride but what different is that he sent me the money through ecocash the message would show you that it came from the econet company only for them to say it's not our but when it clearly highlights that is theirs.

For me it was back then in 2024 when I sold my Hisense 55 inch TV for $400, for me it was WorldRemit and the indrive came around past 5 in the afternoon and the following day I went into town and I was told that it was fake.

Also scammed the same way. on me they used Hello Paisa. their trick is the same. they send indrive, and they make sure its late so that at least you wont be able to confirm th transaction bcoz of time.
