  Lately I’ve been getting a lot of suspicious calls from people pretending to be from the police or other authorities. They usually say there’s some urgent problem, like a missed court date or a family member in trouble, and then try to pressure me into paying money immediately or sharing personal details. I’ve learned to hang up, stay calm, and double‑check by calling the official number myself. Tools like Truecaller’s Caller ID and spam blocking have also helped me spot and avoid many of these scam calls before I even pick up.
