My friend's father sent me a friend request on Instagram

A random person sent me a friend request on Instagram.... When I saw his profile picture I was shocked as he is my friend's father and he sent me a friend request and the weird part is that I didn't put my real name on Instagram for security purposes.... What should I do? I mean he only knows me as his daughter's friend but We barely talked in person ik him since I've been friends with his daughter is it dangerous? What should I do? I didn't accept the friend request for my own security...
