I was scammed on OLX ([PHONE])
Please report this number to everyone, please help me. This person has cheated me badly. This happened in January, and I didn't tell anyone, not even my family, because if my family found out, they might have fought with me. I had listed a camera for sale on OLX because I really needed money. This guy agreed to pay ₹8000, but my mistake was that I didn't ask him to come to my house to collect it. I gave him the camera halfway through, and when he asked for payment via PhonePe, I gave him the QR code. He told me the payment was done, but it was fake, and he took my bike immediately. I waited for a long time, but the payment never came. Only then did I realize I had been scammed. Please tell me what I should do now. I know I delayed a lot, and it's my fault, but now I realize I should have filed a complaint somewhere.

I lost Rs 5,000 with OLX... The Muslim couple showed me the cupboard at their posh residence at Powai Lake ... After I made the payment they said that I have to make arrangements for delivery... Whenever I would send any driver, they would chase the driver away on some pretext or they the other... The husband would ring me up at night to talk... I messaged at mornings & informed him that I work at a BPO, permanent nightshift & that our mobile phones are kept in the lockers, & not with us... He then messaged me that I have dismantled the cupboard & thrown it away & confisticated your Rs 5,000... Later I came to know that they keep purchasing & selling second hand furniture... Conning people is probably their business.. They had told me lies that they are redecorating their house...

I am so sorry to hear that you were scammed while trying to sell your digital camera. Please don't lose hope just yet; there are a few steps you can take to try and recover either your camera or your money: Contact OLX Support Immediately: Report the buyer to OLX customer care. Let them know exactly what happened—that the individual took your camera without paying. Gather Surveillance Footage: Check with the shops or buildings near the pickup location. If you can get footage from their security cameras, you might be able to capture the person's face or their vehicle's license plate number. File a Police Complaint: If you manage to gather any of this information, take it straight to the police to file an official report. Ultimately, if you feel that pursuing this will cause you too much stress or hassle, you do have the option to let it go and chalk it up to a bad experience. The choice is entirely yours.
