Previous owner of my current phone number
I HATE that phone companies recycle phone numbers. I have had my current phone number for a little under 1 year and the scams calls BECAUSE of the previous owner of this number is crazy!! It's insurance calls, tree service, one after another daily sometimes 5+ times a day. I was told she is mentally unstable so IDK if she has legal issues or if she truly is unstable and sold the to someone to scam. I tried the built in call blocker on the phone with no luck. What other options do I have?

So true caller isn't helping by blocking the numbers, they keep coming. I have Straight talk and they won't just change the number. I have a way on the phone to stop unknown numbers and they still come in. I have spoken to a few people who knew the old owner of this number and they said she definitely has issues. Changing my # is definitely a last resort but maybe necessary at this point

I run a VoIP company. number history follows (not your carriers fault) either black, use true caller or change numbers. if you plan to keep your number, add yourself to the DNC list and hope for the best.

you can try finding out the real company names behind those calls. If your able to, you can send a demand letter to their email and through certified mail asking for compensation. You can give them 14 business days to respond. If they don't, you can sue in small claims court.

Try to call the Do Not Call Registry, or whatever it's called. Not all of them are cut out, but I've had a lesser amount of them.
