QR code scam- fraud automotive spare
Subject: Complaint Regarding Suspected Online Cheating and Fraudulent UPI Transaction I wish to lodge a complaint regarding suspected online cheating through WhatsApp and social media. I contacted an online seller for purchasing an automobile accessory for my Tata Curvv EV. The seller communicated through WhatsApp number 917[PHONE], assured delivery within 4 to 5 days, and provided a QR code for payment. Trusting his representations, I paid Rs 1848 through UPI. After receiving the payment, the seller failed to deliver the product or provide genuine courier and tracking details. Despite repeated calls and WhatsApp messages requesting delivery or refund, he continuously avoided and ignored my communications. I subsequently found that car modification videos apparently belonging to Ali Car Modification, Rajasthan, were allegedly used by the seller in a manner that could mislead customers into believing that the displayed works and services were his own. I suspect that such online representations may have been used to gain customer trust and induce payments. I request the Cyber Crime Police to investigate the mobile number, UPI ID, beneficiary bank account, KYC details, transaction trail and connected social media accounts, and check whether other victims have made similar complaints or payments. I have preserved payment proof, QR code, WhatsApp chats, call logs, screenshots and video evidence. I request immediate investigation, appropriate legal action against the persons involved, tracing of the beneficiary and assistance in recovering the amount paid by me.
