🚨 SCAM ALERT Fake Electricity Bill Disconnection Scam 🚨

Brothers, please be careful, today I almost got scammed. I received a message on WhatsApp from someone claiming to be JVVNL saying that my meter reading from last month was not updated and that they would cut the electricity at 10:00 PM tonight. The message said to call their 'bill update officer Mr. Sanjay Sharma.' When I spoke to the scammer, he sent me a file on WhatsApp named "Electricity Bill update.apk." I immediately realized it was a fraud and a way to hack my phone. I blocked him and both his numbers right away. Please everyone be careful. The electricity department never sends such messages on WhatsApp threatening to cut power, nor do they ask you to download any third-party app (.apk). Installing such a file will give them access to your phone and your bank OTPs directly. Make sure to inform your family groups, especially parents and elders, about this. They tend to panic quickly at threats of power cuts and can easily fall into these traps. Be safe!
