Scammers can approach you through calls, SMS, WhatsApp, emails, fake websites, delivery messages, job offers, investment schemes, loan approvals and customer-care numbers; always **verify before you trust**. Never share **OTP, UPI PIN, CVV, passwords, Aadhaar, PAN or banking details**, never install unknown apps or allow remote access, and never transfer money because someone creates urgency or threatens you. Check the sender’s identity and website independently, avoid suspicious or shortened links, block and report suspicious numbers, and remember: **a genuine bank, government department or trusted company will never ask you to disclose confidential OTPs or PINs. When in doubt, stop, verify through the organisation’s official channel, and only then proceed.**
