⚠️ If it's a scam or blackmail, don't panic!

If you fall victim to fraud in a loan app or online scam, or if someone blackmails/harasses you to pressure you into making a payment, first of all, do not panic. 🔴 Do not make payments out of fear. If someone repeatedly increases the amount or pressures you to pay within minutes, first verify the situation. 🔴 Do not argue or negotiate with the blackmailer. Giving in to their demands out of fear of their threats can worsen the problem. 🔴 Save all proofs — screenshots, WhatsApp chats, phone numbers, call details, payment/UPI details, loan screens, and emails. Do not delete anything. 🔴 Never share OTP, UPI PIN, ATM PIN, passwords, or additional personal information. 🔴 If the app asks for phone permissions, do not blindly allow Contacts, Photos, Call Logs, Camera, SMS, and Location. Only grant genuinely required permissions. 🔴 If the blackmailer threatens to contact your family/friends, do not stay silent out of shame or fear. Inform a trusted family member. 🔴 Report to cybercrime authorities and keep the complaint/acknowledgement number safe. 🔴 If you have accidentally shared any personal photo/document, do not panic. This does not mean the blackmailer can do whatever they want. Preserve evidence and report to authorities. ❤️ Most importantly — being scammed does not end your life, nor should you feel ashamed. The biggest weapon of scammers is fear. Staying calm, saving evidence, and reporting to proper authorities is most important. Please share this message. It might help save someone from making a wrong payment out of fear of blackmail. 🙏
