Scammed out of my Rental Deposit.

I needed an rental property. I placed a add on face book. On the 21 rst September 2026. Private rentals by owner. Got an peply to contact Etienne Nel [PHONE]. I did. He had an property in Krugersdorp. If still available after others people has viewed already. I was asked to pay R 7 000.00 Deposito to Secure the property immediately via Cash send. I did so as well. Willem assisted me as the limited was only R 5000.00. His security code 7182. All done while he was on the phone with me, whatsupp call. My documents, proof of payment would be emailed, to me before 13h00, on the 22nd of September 2026 from his secretary. He demanded the rental aswel. Only due on the 1rst November 2026. I did not pay. Mentioned I would after I have viewed. I waited for the pin location. Had to view at 10h00 on the 23rd of September. I was sent an pin location. But also was wrong address. He was not there aswell. He all of an sudden had someone else that has paid, in full. Would Refund me my Rental deposit, after his Dad's funeral on the 22nd of September. I was sent an Cash send. But with no Secret Code include? I asked for it. I couldn't Withdraw any money with no Code at Capitec Bank. To date he has blocked me, don't answer my call, neither nor reply to my messages. Still no Secret code from him to date. So I was Scammed out of my Rental Deposit of R 7 000.00. My money was redeemed in the Western Cape. On the 21st of September. Be very vigilant when, renting from a private owner.
