Through this, he learned that I am a BPSC teacher and found out the name of my school. Later, he called me pretending to be a Blue Dart agent and claimed that a letter had arrived at my school. As it was summer vacation, my husband became suspicious. The caller then asked us to contact another number. As soon as I called that number, my phone was compromised. After that, my calls and SMS messages were forwarded to the hacker, and I was automatically logged out of WhatsApp. Since the verification codes were being redirected, I could not log back in. The hacker then used my WhatsApp account to message my contacts, claiming that I urgently needed money and that my UPI was not working. He shared a QR code and requested amounts ranging from ₹2,000 to ₹30,000.
