suspicious website

so recently my mom asked me if I wanted to do earn some pocket money, of course I said yes. Then she shows me this one website, if you complete one review like all of their quest you get rm5 but you need to wait for a month to redeem it. I was actually starting to feel suspicious by this website , I didn't sign up for it because it could be money laundering. I asked multiple times to my mom is this a scam? she insisted that it isn't. Then 1 month has past, she redeemed it but if you want to countinue this thing you need to pay rm150 smth like that I was actually shocked and my reaction was like wtf? so yeah I don't know what is this, can any1 tell me in the comments?
