WhatsApp Latest Scam - Virtual Hard Disk

I recently face this scam where hackers send zip. or binery file through one of your WhatsApp contact (In this case your contact who send file is being attack not you) to take control of your system by installing virtual harddisk (In this case even if you open this file in mobile you're safe cause it's design to attack on computer) even after this out of curiosity if you open the exe. files stored in that hard disk you've no way to regain any access of your Windows Computer. In my case i unzip the file in mobile and when i found .VHD file out of curiosity i open it in my pc and that's how i came to know about all this but i was not that silly to run .exe file too i simply eject and that's it. But next day the same thing happened with me and this time i was under attack cause i got messages like "what's this?" "how are you?" "open nahi ho raha" from my contact even unsave too. I keep myself calm and informed everyone through status update and i notice pattern which make me understand that this hacker targetting small company and businesses cause i started getting automated reply by whatsapp bots too e.g courses, upi apps, loan and finance company which once i used even MSEB. In my case i was into technical knowledge that i cautiously take all important step disconnect computer internet, delete those file permanently etc. but one who dont know much about could loss everything cause it take me to the so complex settings and all to restore my laptop security as it was takeover by malware.
