I'll share my observation: Every time, a day or two before scammers call, I receive a notification from TrueCaller that someone viewed my number. At other times, no one is interested in me. This is done with the clear purpose of addressing me by name. The call comes from a local mobile number, but the poor sound quality always hints at the use of IP telephony codecs. The scammers may pretend to be Moldcell support calling from a Unite or Orange SIM card, or vice versa, depending on your operator. When I ask them to speak to me in Romanian, they start talking nonsense and hang up. I always add the calling number to the database; maybe it will save someone from the "stupidity tax"©Расскажу о своём наблюдении: Каждый раз, за день-два до звонка мошенников, мне приходит уведомление от TrueCaller, что кто-то просматривал мой номер. В остальное время, я никому не интересен. Делается это с понятной целью обратиться ко мне по имени. Звонок приходит с местного мобильного номера, но всегда плохое качество звука намекает на используемые кодеки IP телефонии. Персонажи могут представляться саппортом Молдчелл звоня с симки Уните или Оранж, или наоборот, всё зависит от того, какой у вас оператор. При моей просьбе говорить со мной по-румынски, начинают гонять дичь и сливаются. Номер звонивших всегда добавляю в базу, может кого-нибудь спасёт от "налога на глупость"©

I received calls years ago, but they didn't know my name. Their story was that some woman had invested money somewhere, it wasn't returned to her, and they were the saviors wanting to help her. Truecaller identified both the caller's number and name. Plus, during the conversation, I extracted some personal information from the callers. I filed a report with the police. I met for a conversation with an officer from the homicide department (why they assigned him, this isn't a murder case). During the communication, he confirmed how important it is to engage in fraud prevention. A week later, I received a letter saying that since I am not the victim, no criminal case will be opened. That's the kind of bastards they have in that department.
