My husband received a call from a regular number and answered. The other side did not respond, and that's when the scam started. His phone number was ported without his consent. A message was sent from Cellcom that his phone number from Pelephone was transferred to Cellcom. Since then, he has no incoming or outgoing calls. The phone number that was his is no longer his, something that was done without his initiative or control. Within 20 minutes, they tried to use his credit cards. Nightmare.

You can record your "hello" and use that sample with artificial intelligence to generate the rest of the words in your voice, then speak through a voice-changing app with your mobile operator, your credit card company, your bank, most of which use voice recognition in their voice response systems. When answering any phone call, the caller should start the conversation, not the receiver, because you might be recorded during such a silent conversation.

Messages with links, I understand. A phone call where I didn't share any information, passwords, etc., doesn't seem logical to me. Speaking as someone who receives dozens of scam messages a day and doesn't fall for them, but I'm less cautious with calls because I don't share any information.
