Scam through your phone number

I received a call from an Etisalat number inquiring about the network status and service for my number 011, which is linked to the bank. I told him the network is not good. He said okay, he would send me a secret code to update my phone. I immediately deleted it, disconnected the line, and reported it to the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA).
