FRAUD DELIVERY CALL POSING AS COURIER REPRESENTATIVE

I placed an order for an electrical item on 4th August and the seller confirmed that the product will be delivered on 16th August. However, an unknown caller named Chhote Paswan called and told that he is standing somewhere in my area with the product. I said I am not there at home and please hand it over to my wife. He said there is some problem with my payment and I have to pay him Rs 8000. I said I have already paid. Paswan said my original amount would be refunded. I immediately understood that it is a fraud call and told him I will check with the seller and come back to him. I then blocked his number. Has anyone faced a similar situation?
