  a month ago , an unknown sender where the sender's number not even visible, a message appeared in my phone stating that a 8000 something rupees "has been refunded" in my account. I haven't bought anything that expensive that leads to a refund value of 8000. or Even if I bought, the refund message should come from my bank first. I blocked them instantly.

  Without clicking the message or notification, check your account balance from you designated UPI or Bank app. 100% you'll see no money credited in your account. These scammers design the messages in a way that Truecaller's auto message detection system mistakes these for actual Bank-messages. These messages contain a suspicious link tagged with them, click it and boom. Your money is gone. Be aware guys.

  I also got the same message,do not click the link and simply delete the message. if you are keen to check the credit of any amount,use your laptop and not phone...

  @truecaller algorithm is being abused by these scammers. message is being drafed in such a way that it resembles to a bank credited message to fool people.
