metro by T-Mobile

i never used to get scam calls, but ever since i took my phone number to Metro, I've noticed a heavy increase in scam robocalls. mostly regarding tax debt relief. i get 4-6 calls daily from the same companies but they use different "toll free caller" numbers. had anyone experienced this after changing providers?

I had called Metro about blocking the calls but they just told me to call the do not call refistry, After looking back, I've narrowed it down to when i was looking online for auto in insurance quotes and entering my contact information. it used to drive me crazy being woke up at 7am on my days off, only to find it being a scam "loan approval", "time-sensitive matter", "tax debt relief", etc., recorded message. They're usually from a different spoofed "Toll Free Caller", so now i have Truecaller screen the calls and forward them to my AI robo answering service without my phone ringing at all.

it happens, no matter who your carrier is. I get 5-10 calls daily from a loan company that I never contacted. get "truecaller" app it tells you who is a scam or fraud calling, so you don't have to pick up, just hang up.

Metro by T-Mobile has several of their own caller id apps and scam call protectin add ons for pretty cheap per month actually but just go to an app store and fix that easily...

If your number changed, it could be that they assigned a previously used number to you. It's happened to me.
