Unauthorized MoMo Debit by Nalo Solution — Serious Security Concern
I was automatically debited GH₵5 through Hubtel by a company called Nalo Solution Service this morning. I was still sleeping when I received the SMS alert, and when I woke up, I discovered that the debit was from Nalo Solution. Before this morning, I had never heard of Nalo Solution, nor had I knowingly authorised any payment to them. I contacted MTN to report the issue, but unfortunately, the customer service representative was not helpful at all. She kept insisting that I was the one who authorised the debit. I tried explaining repeatedly that I did not authorise it and that I was actually asleep when the transaction [TXN_ID]—the debit alert was what woke me up. The amount is very small, so the GH₵5 itself is not my concern. What worries me is the experience. It is honestly scary to think that a company or platform could debit your MoMo wallet without your knowledge or explicit authorisation. If this can happen without the customer's consent, then it raises serious concerns about the security of our MoMo wallets and how third-party services are being allowed to initiate automatic debits.

Then report it to cyber security if you are sure you're not the one who authorised it. Also report it as fraud on the momo app or use the momo short code to report it as momo fraud.

switch to Telecel cash is for long term savings. MTN Momo should be used for receiving funds, and withdrawing the money same day
